Notices w/c 18 April 2022

By HBCInc - Posted on 19 April 2022

  • The committee will be meeting this Thursday 21 April to discuss the change in traffic light settings and whether any further restrictions can be relaxed. In the meantime, the vaccine pass is still required, and face mask rules remain unchanged. Masks are still to be worn at the bridge table with no exemptions allowed yet.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are offered but these are not to be taken to the table to consume. Members who wish to keep their mask on the whole time can then stay safely at the table while those who are comfortable with removing their masks to take tea can do so at the back of the room. Similarly, water should be consumed away from the table.
  • On Easter Monday we hosted a 3A mixed sex pairs tournament online via RealBridge. Congratulations to the following winners:
    1st Bill Mecchia & Dorothy Bain (Timaru/Temuka)
2nd Sam Gurney & Tony Quinlivan (Christchurch)
3rd Barbara Tumilowicz & Mariusz Tumilowicz (Karori)
  • The link for Sunday Social bridge is here SundaySocialThree
  • Our Open/Junior tournaments will be held face-to-face on Sunday 15 May. Thanks to Gee & Hickton for sponsoring our Open tournament and the Ron Fisher Trust for subsidising the entry fee for the Junior tournament. Note to Juniors the entry fee is $10. Sign up on the noticeboard. As we are hosting two tournaments in one day more baking than usual is required and more helpers. Commitment for helpers is 1-2 hours. There is a sheet on the notices tables. Please add your name if you can help with baking or on the day.
  • Next Monday is ANZAC Day. There will be no Saturday revision class, no bridge on Monday and the Monday night lessons will also take a break. Have a great long weekend.
