  • 🎉 Hutt Intermediate Tournament – Saturday 29 August 🎉
    We would love to see many Hutt players enter our Intermediate Tournament on Saturday 29 August!
    Why not give it a go? It will be a great day of bridge, good company, and plenty of fun. 🃏😊
    We would also love some lovely home baking for morning tea. If you have some time to spare, we would really appreciate an extra pair of hands in the kitchen for an hour or two.

  • Bridge Etiquette - Dealing with Boards and Cards: Only take your cards out of the board when one of the opponents is at the table. Count your cards face down to ensure you have 13 and report any discrepancies immediately.

  • Jill Herman has asked us to let you know that the Wellington Region Bridge Committee is delighted with how the Club Champs went yesterday, and thanks Hutt Club for hosting the 10 teams and 100 players from 9 clubs in our region. Particular thanks go to Ruth and Doug, who volunteered there all day with Jill. And a special mention to Ruth, who also did a lot of the administration and organising beforehand.
  • Our Swiss Pairs event is coming up! Three Thursday evenings from Thursday, August 6. Open to players from all sessions. You must enter with a partner—please put your names on the sheet on the noticeboard.

  • Hutt is hosting the Wellington Region Club Champs this Sunday. Good luck to our team, which will be competing against 8 other clubs from our region. Russell Dive and Vil Gravis, Madeleine Askew and Marian Loader, Jeffry Craanen and Simon Webber, Amy Haste and Mel Rowe, Dianne Fitzgerald and Fiona McArthur. GO HUTT!
  • Congratulations to Jeffry Craanen and Eleisha Hawkins on winning the Kairangi Intermediate Tournament on Sunday. They achieved an outstanding score, averaging 70.03%. A fantastic result—well done to you both!
  • Matariki is on Friday. Come along and enjoy this special time with a session of bridge starting at 12.45 for 1.00 pm. The rising of the Matariki stars is a time of remembrance, celebration and looking to the future. Please bring some kai to share and, if you can, a plant or some seeds to share with other members. Kia ora!
