- Wellington Bridge Club is holding a 3 and 1 Play with an expert on the 26 May. Come along in a team of 3 or pairs or even on your own (you will be placed in a team). Please see the details on the notice board.
- Wellington Regional Bridge Inter-Provincial Teams are being held. Grades are Open, Women, Senior (63+ years), Intermediate. Please see the details on the notice board.
- No Saturday revision this Saturday 8th April.

Notices w/c 20 March 2023
- The AGM will be held on Sunday the 26th March. Nomination forms for the committee are on the notice board. The AGM will be preceded by a bridge session and followed by nibbles and drinks. Please sign up on the notice board if you would like to play. If you are unable to attend there is a form for recording apologies on the notices table.
- Monday night 27th of March is the start of the on line Autumn Handicap Pairs. All grades are welcome.

- Introducing Our New Manager
Our new manager is Ruth Brucker. Ruth started on the 1st March. For the first few weeks, Madeleine will be working alongside Ruth to show her the ropes. Ruth will be in the office in the mornings Monday to Friday. Please give her a warm welcome.

- Our Multigrade tournament held on Sunday was a big success. Thank you to all the helpers and bakers and the tournament organisers Lesley Haines and Kathryn Badcock. Congratulations to the winners Andrew Smith and Stephanie Smith from Karori Club. Marion Loader and her partner Steve Baron were 2nd and Ian Pronk and James Abel were the first Junior pair.
- The Tuesday night Swiss Pairs start Tuesday 7th March - you need to register for this series please sign up on the notice board.
- This Thursday is our Mix and Mingle night everybody is welcome. A light supper will be provided please let the office know if you would like to play and need a partner.
- There will be no Saturday revision this Saturday the 4th March.

- Interclub starts again on the 24th March. If you are wanting to enter a team please sign up on the notice board or alternatively let Madeleine know. Entries need to be confirmed by the 27th February.
- Our lessons started last week, and we have over 20 starters. Thanks to those who have helped promote them.
- Congratulations to the following Helen Poulsen who has gained her Certificate of Proficiency, Ria Janssen for becoming a Local Master and Margaret Carter for becoming a Club Master.
- Our first tournament for the year is our multigrade tournament on Sunday 26 February. Please sign up on the noticeboard.
We need helpers for one to two hours on the day and baking for the tournament. If you can help with this please add your name to the sheet on the notice table.

Family and friends of our current members are our best bet - please encourage anyone you think may be interested to give it a try - and even accompany them to their first lesson! Help yourself to flyers on the table to assist you.

- From this week Madeleine Askew is our interim manager. Madeleine will be in the office most mornings. The best time to reach her will be 10-11 each day on the office phone or by email. Our thanks to you Madeleine for helping the club out in this way.
- Twenty club members took part in the Queensgate bridge promotion on Saturday. Thanks to all who came and played, to Ian Pronk for lending us the furniture, and to Kathryn and Paul Badcock for organisation and set up. While quite a few passers-by expressed interest in our upcoming lessons, we still need more. Family and friends of our current members are our best bet - please encourage anyone you think may be interested to give it a try - and even accompany them to their first lesson! Help yourself to flyers on the table to assist you.
