Notices w/c 11 April 2022

  • The committee considered the latest easing in public health controls around Covid. Because the case numbers in our region and the Hutt, in particular, are still high, and the fact that we have had several members test positive in the last few weeks, the committee has decided to retain a conservative approach.
This means that the vaccine pass is still required for the time being and face mask rules remain unchanged. Masks are still to be worn at the bridge table with no exemptions allowed yet.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are offered again but these are not to be taken to the table to consume. Members who wish to keep their mask on the whole time can then stay safely at the table while those who are comfortable with removing their masks to take tea can do so at the back of the room. Similarly, water should be consumed away from the table.

Notices w/c 04 April 2022

  • The committee considered the latest easing in public health controls around Covid. Because the case numbers in our region and the Hutt, in particular, are still high, and the fact that we have had several members test positive in the last few weeks, the committee has decided to retain for a bit longer its conservative approach in managing the provision of a safe environment for playing bridge at our club. This means that the vaccine pass will still be required for the time being to play in person at our club. Face mask rules remain unchanged, so masks are still to be worn at the bridge table with no exemptions allowed yet.
