• We hosted Interclub on Friday night and once again it was a very successful evening. Thank you to Diana Pratchett, Madeleine Askew and Bernice Singh for their help on the night. Congratulations to the following teams on their wins: Open 1 captained by Maciej Szczesny, Intermediate 3 captained by Kathryn Badcock and the novice team captained by Neil Sargisson. • Tues players: Tuesday Teams starts 1 October. You must sign up to enter.
• Wed players: Super Sunday - the second one will be held this Sunday 29 September 1-4pm at Kairangi Bridge Club. Cost $5. All beginners are invited and welcome to attend. See the noticeboard for details.
• Reminder: You can still get tickets for our movie fundraiser. The movie is Downton Abbey Monday 14 October at 6pm at the Petone Lighthouse.

• The annual Hutt/Upper Hutt Challenge is being hosted by Upper Hutt this year on Friday 4 October at Upper Hutt Bridge Club. Sign-up sheet is on the noticeboard.

• Congratulations to Steve Denholm & Joyce Bosman (Upper Hutt) who came first E/W at Super Social Sunday on Sunday 25 August.
• At the Wellington Bridge Club Junior tournament held on Sunday 1st September congratulations to Hannah Revell & partner who came first in the morning session, second in the afternoon session and second overall. The Wellington Bridge Club also hosted an Intermediate tournament on the same day. Congratulations to Caroline Strachan & partner who came first and Dougal Watson & partner who came 2nd in the morning session.

Hutt Intermediate Tournament was held last Sunday (11 Aug). A big thank you to Madeleine Askew, Phil Revell, helpers and members who provided lovely baking for the tournament over the weekend. Congratulations to Ian Possenenneskie and Martyn Dowman who came first and to Catherine Chapman and Sharyn Bowen who were placed second. A great result for the Hutt Club!
