Te Omanga Hospice Bridge Afternoon
Hutt Bridge Club strongly supports the initiative of raising funds for the rebuild of Te Omanga Hospice and therefore would like to invite all players to participate in this noble event!
This fundraiser is part of the ‘Days of Care’ Programme which gives you the opportunity to make an extremely positive contribution to the life of a special person at a difficult time. Our goal is to raise $1,500 from this afternoon to provide a Day of Care at Te Omanga Hospice.

WOW! Approximately 90 people fronted up on Friday night for the Hutt Bridge Club Quiz! It was a night of fun and laughter and mental stimulation!
A huge thank you goes to our members, family and friends for attending the evening as well as a big thank you to those who donated an amazing array of prizes! Special thanks to AJ who acted as a Quiz Master:

- Recent Hutt successes:
Congratulations to Maciej Szczesny and Andeana Pilalis who came second in the Karori Junior tournament held on Sunday 10 June.
- Quiz night was extremely successful with around 90 people attending! Special thanks to AJ for running this fundraiser, the volunteers who made it such a successful night and to the membership for donating prizes.
- Interclub at Hutt on Friday 22nd June.

Congratulations to Heather Jared and Gary Duncan who won the main pairs event at the Hawkes Bay Congress over the long weekend. - Quiz night is on Friday 8 June. There is still room for more teams so sign up now! We do need more prizes – donations of wine, chocolates and goodies would be much appreciated. These can be left in the box in the foyer. Please support this fundraiser. It is going to be a fun night!

♥ Following our junior tournament last Sunday 20 May, Maciej Szczesny retains his lead at the top of the Junior League table with Andeana Pilalis running second. Full table here.
♠ Interclub last Friday 25 May: wins were had by Open (Marian Loader), Intermediate 1 & 2 (Tracey Mitchell & Kathryn Badcock) and Junior 2 (Joan Finley).
♦ Otaki Multigrade Tournament: Phil Revell and Maciej Szczesny won a session prize.

- Hutt Open/Junior tournament 20 May. All members are encouraged to sign up and play. Note: Juniors entry fee is heavily subsidised at $10. If you can provide some baking or help on the day, please indicate either on the sheet at the club or let the Club Manager know.
- Quiz night is back 8th June. There are two sign up forms on the wall, one to join a team and one if you already have a team. Friends and family welcome.
- Wednesday-Swiss Pairs starts 6 June, please sign up to play.
