• Our Intermediate tournament on Sunday was very successful with 22 pairs attending. A huge thank you to all the volunteer bakers and helpers who made it such a successful day.
   
  The tournament was won by Martyn Rew & Andrew Cushnie from Wellington Bridge Club:

• Our Hutt Intermediate Tournament is on Sunday 12 August. As of Monday we have 9 tables, it will be good to get some more entries. Details and how to enter here. Baking for the day would be appreciated. Please write your sweet or savoury offering on the ‘notices table’ sheet.
• Megan will be away on leave from Monday 13 August for two weeks, returning to work on Monday 27 August. Kathy Goodman will be covering for her and office hours will remain the same. If you require pre-paid tickets it would be most appreciated if you can organise these with Megan before she goes on leave. Partnership matching will continue – contact the office if required.

• Dougal Watson and Ian Possenniskie won the afternoon session and came 4th overall at the Karori Intermediate Tournament on 22 July.

• A bridge afternoon is being held on Wednesday 1 August to support the Te Omanga Hospice appeal (details here). You are welcome to put your names down for this worthy fundraiser. Raffles are also available for purchase.

Hutt Bridge Club strongly supports the initiative of raising funds for the rebuild of Te Omanga Hospice and therefore would like to invite all players to participate in this noble event!

This fundraiser is part of the ‘Days of Care’ Programme which gives you the opportunity to make an extremely positive contribution to the life of a special person at a difficult time. Our goal is to raise $1,500 from this afternoon to provide a Day of Care at Te Omanga Hospice.
